Welcomed change . . .

Good morning, this is me. I had – probably - the best nights sleep I’ve had in weeks, guessing 4 to 6 weeks. I slept 4 hours straight, which is almost a record for me here recently. I was so rested, and yet it was only 2:30 am. So, what is there to do but think, meditate and pray? Some people ball all three together and call it just one of the names. I’m not going to discuss semantics, so we’ll let that dog lay.

Yesterday was a very, very trying day for both Robin and I both physically and emotionally. We did not leave the clinic until around 3 pm – we got there that morning at 8:40 am. I had to get some fluids, anti-nausea meds – the usual except for the fluid part. I requested a bed as soon as we arrived since I was feeling so weak. I stayed in that same bed until I left that afternoon. My blood work, as far as liver enzymes, etc. all are in the normal range except for one, which the Dr. told us not to be concerned about. That did not line up with the way I was feeling at all. So that goes to show right there that “things ain’t always what they seem” – in this case, they were much, much better than they seemed. In other words, keep “living by faith, not by feelings”.

I finally got out of the bed around 5:30 am and took my usual pills and drink my usual stuff. I spilled some tea in the top shelf of the refrigerator – which always seems to catch the funk first since it is used more frequently. So, I then noticed it was piled full of short items that should have been stored in the lower levels and as I was making room I decided to unload the whole top shelf, remove it, take it apart, clean it and put it back. I cleaned the bottom of all items to be returned to the fridge so as not to mess the shelf up all over again. Now, I can blog, sip my drink and prepare for the rest of the day in Jesus Name.

Now for those of you who read this blog regularly, George does this sort of thing frequently – cleaning projects, etc. since I cannot get outside and do many major projects – yet. For those of you who do not read regularly or maybe this is your first time reading – I have been pretty much worthless to the world over the past several weeks, especially since the start of chemo and the new radiation treatments. For the day to start out like this for me, this is nothing short of – well – miraculous, and a welcomed change.

I hope and pray that your day will start out and continue to be as good as mine. Remember, regardless of how it is going . . . .

“This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.”

* * * Thanks for answering the call to pray for me yesterday while at the clinic. I know ya'll "got my back" and I am very grateful for that. Now, let's go and get some one elses 'back' who needs it.

George
Where did this come from worthless to the world. I would not say in the least that you are worthless to the world because of your great witness for the Lord. I know at times you feel worthless due to your condition but you are a child of the living God and I know your family is bless to have such a wonderful man in their lives. You keep up the witnessing and one day you will see your reward. I am so glad you had a better day and I pray that the rest of the days during this treatment will get better everyday. Have a great day in the Lord. Gayle

Psalm 149:1-6
Praise the Lord!!
Sing to the Lord a new song.
And His praise in the assembly of saints (that is us folks)
Let Israel rejoice in their maker.(George,Robin,all attatched to believing for HEALING)
Let the children of Zion rejoice in their king.
Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp.
For the Lord takes PLEASURE in His people;
He WILL beautify the humble with salvation.
Let the saints be JOYFUL in glory;
Let them sing aloud on their beds.
let the HIGH PRAISES of God be in their MOUTHS!!!
And a TWO-EDGED sword in their hand.

Ok George! It is time I started praising the Lord on your behalf...He has heard our cry, desperate cries for your healing....time and time again, and although that is STILL my mode of PUSH, I am now on a different definition of PUSH....
It's "Praising Until Something Happens"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are ALWAYS making a difference wether you seem "useless" or not! You have been USED to plant many, many, many seeds in people's lives (sort of like the garden you have going on, cant wait to see the pumpkins grow to max.)

Wil and I have about eaten ALL the awesome veggies! Thank you sooooo much.

I am happy the change is obvious to you in giving you extra strength for today! That makes me smile!!! You had many praying for you yesturday, that is for sure!

We love you guys and if you need your housed cleaned, clothes washed or anything else PLEASE call!!!!! Or just dinner made!

Hey George,

Glad to hear that you are feeling better. We had gone by Sunday evening to see you, but Robin said you were resting and we didn't want to disturb. I took a peak at the garden while I was there, things surely have grown up. Also saw the hens. In a couple of months they will be ready for laying. Let me know if you need any help with anything. I am busy, but not too busy for a friend. Stay strong, keep the faith and remember, give thanks to God in all things, not for all things, for the steadfast love of the Lord never ceases and His mercies never come to an end, they are new every morning, just as each day is new for you and is meant to be taken one at a time.

So glad to hear (read)your words, my friend. Your words are meaningful whether you are describing an event in your garden or how difficult it is dealing with the pain of your journey. You are cherished, Geroge, and God continues to use you in spite of "how you feel" or how much energy you have to write/type to us blog readers. Think about how few letters came out of Paul's years in prison, yet each one has brought life to countless millions of people through the centuries. What was he going through, feeling, enduring... during the countless hours, weeks, months that did not produce a letter.... well, each moment of that "yucky" time ultimately made him into the man of God and generated the words that had far-reaching and eternal impact on others. Isn't God amazing in how he molds and prepares the "vessels" that will serve His purposes with power and truth. Thank you, brother, for staying in a place with Him to be that vessel of honor that He deserves. I love you in Christ Jesus. My heart aches for you and sheds tears of compassion that drip on your head.
"In agreement with the faith of many others I declare and proclaim....BE HEALED IN JESUS' NAME.
