9/23/07....

Yesterday was our 18th anniversary. Those 18 years were so full of life. There were good times and also not so good times as every marriage is a testament to. But George and I had a great love for one another. He was a special person and I learned a lot from him. George was a peacemaker and I was the one always looking for a good argument. Me, always looking for a cause to defend or a point to make. George always being empathetic to the needs of others and always giving the benefit of the doubt. Lately, I have not been so quick to assert my rights and defend all injustice. I have tried to quite myself and see things for what the truly are. I want to see with eternal eyes. I want to see in the spirit realm. Yesterday as I was asking God some questions I felt Him prompt me with this question, "Are you willing to FORSAKE the temporal, FOR THE SAKE of the eternal." Yes, Lord because eternity is reality and the here and now is a fleeting experience in which only our eternal choices remain. It is like a stripping away of what I thought really mattered, being replaced by what God says matters.

I love you all and thank you for all of your prayers.
Robin

That is good Robin! Every day there is such a learning in Christ. Some lessons are tough, some we regret we didn't learn soon enough and some we go round and around STill trying to learn!
Most of what we are walking out is for the eternal sacrifices, if you are In Christ and seeking His direction. That is what makes it all the more worth it.
You, are in that time. Although you miss George, and you don't understand some of what the Lord is doing through his passing on...your sacrifice of praise inspite of "all the questions" is what He smiles on.
This indeed is a New place for you to walk.
He does ALL things WELL, especially when the act of obediance and willingness is there!

I love you sister.

Robin,
You are doing just great, dear sister. Keep your eyes on HIM and you will not sink, but rather you will do the impossible because of HIM... like walking on water. You are a blessing and you are loved.
Your brother in Christ,
Russell

Robin, congratulations on 18 beautiful loving years of successful marriage! No marriage is perfect as you'd attest to, but you guys modeled for us, "for better for worse, in sickness and in health". Your marriage has stood and will stand as a testimony to what can be when God is the third person in the marriage.

An eternal perspective- that has been my prayer for the last year... How much time I waste on things that are not eternal... This life is a dress rehearsal for REAL life... the life George is living right now!

You are such a blessing dear sister. Thanks for your comment on my blog :^). Brought tears to my eyes. I am truly honored to have known George and to know you now... God is doing so much in and through you... It's amazing. God is amazing in you! Be abundantly blessed!
I love you!

All I can say is what God is doing in me through all of this is beautiful yet painful if that makes sense. I know we will never understand what has happened in the natural but what God is doing in the supernatural is AWESOME!!!!
I love you Robin - Nicole B.

ROBIN,DEAR ONE,HOW OFTEN GEORGE HAS INFLUENCED MY SPIRITUAL LIFE WITH HIS GENTLENESS, STEADINESS AND LOVE FOR GOD. YOU, ALSO, ARE GOD'S BEAUTY IN ACTION. WE AT HOSANNA HAVE BEEN PRIVILEDGED TO EXPERIENCE GEORGE'S LIFE WITH YOU AND WILL CHERISH THOSE THOUGHTS AS OUR OWN IN TIMES TO COME. WE PRAY FOR YOU,LAUREN AND BRIAN. MAY ALL BE IN CHRIST JESUS! This is probably the most profound lesson. If we could just get our "fleshly" brains around this eternal revelation, we would be that unstoppable force...that victorious bride...and His kingdom would come and His will would be done in this earth realm (as it already is done in heaven).
