In Houston ....

Thank God for a safe trip into Houston. We are at Jimmy and Donna's home. It is so cool to have friends willing to open up their home to us during this time of testing. We enjoyed catching up on things since it has been a while since we have seen each other. Donna is big into eating/cooking healthy. She makes all kinds of homemade stuff from scratch. I hope to get some recipes to bring home.
Robin and I ate at the Olive Garden after the first round of testing tonight since Monday morning is my CT. We have not had a 'date' like that in a while. It's so good to just be alone and talk to each other. If I could just get Robin to keep her hands off of me in public! (Now, I hope you all know I am kidding about that). Houston is still as big and confusing, as far how to get from point A to point B, but Robin seems to have it down. She is my driver and I think she likes it. I like it because she cannot tell me how to drive since she is the one doing he driving.
I stand corrected - Robin went on a Hosanna ladies retreat, not a Woman's Discovery weekend. She said it was really good. Everyone needs to have weekends where they can go and get recharged and refreshed spiritually. Life can drain us over time and wear us out. As a result, we become less effective parents and spouses. It is good to go off on a retreat and get back the proper perspective God wants us to have.
Jesus said for us to take up His yoke. For He said that His yoke was easy and His burden was light. The wages of sin and living away from fellowship with God are very heavy and burdensome. Everthing we do has consequences. So why not do it God's way and enjoy the Good consequences.
Have an awesome week. Be a blessing.
GW
